Plasma HDTV
A plasma HDTV is the ultimate in television viewing performance. They quality of picture that they produce is nearly unmatched by any other type of television. Clear, crisp, and bright are the hallmarks of a plasma screen.
A plasma HDTV uses an extremely high pixel resolution in order to provide the best picture possible. In most cases, the resolution is at least 1080X720p, but some newer models boast an astounding 1920X1080p resolution. Pixels, however, are not the end all, be all of a quality picture. Other considerations such as the type of video processor and depth of color should also be taken into account.
There is a disadvantage to owning a plasma HDTV. These televisions use thousands of tiny gas “chambers” to produce a picture, and light any other neon light, they can be easily damaged. Therefore it is extremely important to make sure that your plasma screen is mounted somewhere that will keep it from getting accidentally bumped or jolted.
